The lunches/brunches are reasonably prices (I recall the lunches are $9.99) and you won't be waiting for your entrees to show up. These are incredible, but don't eat breakfast that day because you will want to make several trips to the food.

Lunches on weekdays and brunches on the weekend. That wait can be alleviated by trying the buffets lunches/brunches that are offered every day. I will say it has been my experience that while the appetizers come out very, very quickly, the wait between these and the entrees has been a bit too long at times. 15 Hampton Ave., Northampton MA Website created and maintained by Northampton Radio Group/Springfield Rocks Radio Group Best Indian Restaurant in Pioneer Valley serve northern & southern Indian cuisine. The service is INCREDIBLY friendly and they're very attentive. Just order what looks interesting or compelling. but there are also some more unusual offerings, including a salmon dish, typical of southern India (not sure about that particular fish, but the spicing is definitely southern Indian) and some great lamb choices. The. 'Tikka Marsala was beautifully prepared, as was the tandoori chicken and garlic naan. The entree selection is broad with the classics of course, like the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, etc. See 6 photos and 4 tips from 83 visitors to Bombay Royale. I particularly like the coconut chutney, but they're all great. It is served with three different sauces. You can't go wrong with the appetizers, though I particularly like the masala dosa, as does everyone else based on the number I see coming out of the kitchen. The menu features a lot of Southern Indian offerings. Where to begin? First off, I will disclose that I have eaten at this place probably 8 times now in the several months it's been open. (My understanding is they have one other location in Lee, MA). I eat out a lot, and sadly, from time to time, in spite of the fact that there have been many good restaurants in Northampton over the years (and some remain), I do pine for a new excellent option from time to time. BR is frequented by many Smith College staff and faculty, and students travel from the Five Colleges for its fresh and varied Indian food.I've lived in Northampton for close to 20 years now. As a Smith College alumna, I have loved Bombay Royale from my days as an undergraduate and enjoy bringing my friends and family here. As usual the staff was so attentive and kind. All of the buffet favorites are included in the Thali. My server brought a side of my favorite tamarind sauce. The warm naan dipped in masala was heavenly and the Tandoori chicken breast was piping hot and beautifully seasoned. To-go lunch specials were being picked up by a steady stream of customers while I was there. The house Thali was wonderful, and reminiscent of the multiple options traditionally offered at the lunch buffet now on hold. On October 21 at about 1:00 I had lunch inside at BR for the first time since it reopened. I have been a repeat customer for many years. Well loved and frequented by locals, BR has always been known for its delicious, authentic, affordable lunch buffet and exceptional service.
